It is JBS Development Solutions intention to keep and publish a photographic record of the restoration of Roundbridge Farm and the transformation of the surrounding acreage into Roundbridge Park, a beautiful place to live and enjoy this beautiful quiet rural location, less than two miles from Woking mainline station.
The Roundbridge Farm development project centres on the restoration of the 4400sqft farmhouse to its former glory. The Roundbridge farmhouse is a Grade II listed building dating from the early 18th century. The 2 storey house was built around a timber-framed core, brick clad with a plain tiled roof. More information can be found on the Historic England website and many photos can be found on the web.
The Roundbridge Farm development project was due to commence around a year ago but was unfortunately delayed due to a fire that started around 8.15pm on July 30th. The blaze took six hours to put out and caused substantial damage to the building, which was “in a pretty bad condition beforehand” according to a firefighter. Click here for more information about the fire including dramatic footage of the blaze.
On 10th June, with planning permission already obtained, work commenced on the site.
This is what greeted us as we entered the site:
