Roundbridge Farm Restoration – Week 4

Not so swiftly as we’d originally planned …

We’re not the only ones that think Roundbridge Farm would make a beautiful family home – a small family of swifts made their home in our barn, causing us to delay the demolition of a small section of the barn until they were ready to vacate over the weekend. The young have now fledged and are happily flying around the site with their parents, allowing work to continue.

A swift check on progress

Progress continues …

The site has now been cleared of all debris and rubble and floor slabs excavated and installed together with drainage.

Now that the entire building is accessible, we can assess the full extent of the fire damage and are able to plan the necessary repairs in consultation with the engineers and conservation officer to ensure that the fabric of the building will be restored to its former beauty, both from an aesthetic and structural perspective.

For the Record

It is JBS Development Solutions intention to keep and publish a photographic record of the restoration of Roundbridge Farm and the transformation of the surrounding acreage into Roundbridge Park, a beautiful place to live and enjoy this beautiful quiet rural location, less than two miles from Woking mainline station.
